Greeting Life - Washi - Shima Enaga Birds

This adorable washi tape from Japanese brand Greeting Life celebrates the shima enaga - small, fluffy white birds that are mostly spotted in Hokkaido, Japan. Also called "Snow Fairies," the shima enaga is a subspecies of the long-tailed bushtit. Some people liken these sweet little birds to marshmallows on sticks!

The washi features illustrations of the shima enaga by illustrator Yusuke Yonezu. Born in Tokyo in 1982, Yonezu was selected for the Bologna International Picture Book Original Drawing Exhibition in Italy in 2005. He has published picture books from all over the world since then.
